Lietuvos Rytas vs. Bilbao Basket

photo: 15min.lt Two classic Eurocup teams meets again on Wednesday on season opener. The hosts.   Lietuvos Rytas starting from the bottom. Capital team’s fans could hardly remember of good basketball taste back in the Siemens arena. The last averagely least poor season was back in 2014/15. Since then Rytas was having a nightmare both in Eurocup and Lithuania basketball leagues. Loosing 3 out of 4 semi-finals in past years (as till 2015 they haven’t lost any single one) was a quite big deal, so last season the capital’s people even stopped attending to the games. The pre-season.   After another terrible season club president Gedvydas Vainauskas whose rasist thoughts spread out the world fired himself and gave his belly fruit to entrepreneur Antanas Guoga. The ‘philanthropist’ Guoga lightningly fast dedicated sports director seat to noble basketball player Linas Kleiza. There were talks that he also made some colaborations with Jonas Valanciunas and Arvydas Macijauskas on suppo

Pieno Zvaigzdes vs. Siauliai

photo: D.Luksas Probably the most high pace team Pieno Zvaigzdes meets under-offensive-performing team Siauliai with freeway thinking philosophy of basketball coach Sireika. Pieno Zvaigzdes has one modern real center from 20 century - Zukanenko (8 min per game), even coach said he's important and will give positive impact on game, but he doesn't know yet where/when to use him. Ofc he doesn't as his team is playing hell of the run&gun basketball while scoring 90 pts every game vs. weak opponents. It happend in friendly games and so during the season. Siauliai despite they improvise a lot in offence met only one high pace opponent Lietkabelis, so their totals stayed under the limit so far. Pick: FT(OT incl.) Vanoli Cremona vs Milano

photo: vanolibasket.com Opened season in benedetto Italia. Hosts Cremona "The Expendables" Vanoli this season remind me a lot of old friends gang with 2013/14 season’s fresh Capo d'Orlando company in front with nobale legends Basile, Nicevic and Saragna including another charismatic flagman coach Pozzecco. They won 2nd place in Serie A2 and started Lega Basket journey. What happend they brought some youngsters and took 14th spot in upcoming 2014/15 season, but that's on a stats. What really happened they been a tough nut to crack at home while being an average performer (Top10) with 7W and 8L in league in the time beating Milano Armani during the season as well as other tenacious rivals in very small margins, usually below 5 points. What? Yes, hold on I see some parallels 2013/15 Capo d'Orlando and this years Cremona. Cremona brought some "The Expendables" of former Banco di Sassari band. Old man Drake Diener didn't forgot those
