Eurobasket2017 Quarter-finals: Slovenia - Latvia

photo: Fiba.com

Good evening ladies and gentlemen. This is some late forecast for Eurobasket 2017 quarter final Slovenia-Latvia game.
With wasting no time here I notice that I gave 55% Slovenia to win here, after odds dropped on Latvia, I see some value here as my expected value ratio is now over 1.20.

First of all I been talking a lot about Latvia and to add more we are still not sure about their capabilities here. Basically I see more % probability to crash on Latvia side than on Slovenia. By meaning of crash I give Lithuania and Finland example - teams who been good so far, had potential and had played the worst game in most importang stage of championship. Why to crash?

They had short preparation, and basically only home games, while they came to champ and played terribly-chaotic with no plays vs poor playing Serbia (lost by 10), then had two wins vs. low's - Belgium and Britain, the last one wasn't that easy, Latvia was leading about 25 and then in late 4th it was only 5 point game and lucky there was no time, cuz they seemed really lost. Match vs. Russia was only game Latvia had good opponent and good game this champ, they showed some real strength in 2nd half, but Russia was after 3w in a row. Then vs. Turkey they been struggling that at the one moment Bagatskis even tried Skele from bench who entered game only 4th. Lastly Montanegro was a good piece to be eatten with 15/25 (3pt) that doesn't happen every night, and has less probability to happen today. This team is three point shooting team.

On another side we have Slovenians without any single lose with winning experience against such teams like Poland (they been really good in 4 games of the champ and crashed in last one vs. Greece), Finland, Greece and France. Slovenia had experience to play until last minutes vs. Finland - won, they did comeback vs. Greece, they easily destroyed France they are on the roll during this champ. They are stable team, with maybe shorter bench, but effective starting 5 and Muric Blazic to cover that is enough for 1 important game, more experienced coach, more hungry and ready to revenge after 2015's eightfinal's. And this is the last Eurobasket for 31 years old Dragic to win medal, as another one is in 4 years. Dirk got it when he was 27 with underdogs so this is now or never for the Slovenians and Dragic whose been terrific during the most important games in this champ for Slovenia.

I expect them coming up strong on defence end of floor while stoping Latvia sharpshooter's from distance.
Options for this game are: under 164, is Slovenia ML (that I gave 55%) and the best option is Dragic to score over 21.5 @ bettopsport and betsafe.

Pick: Slovenia  -1.00 (AH) @ 2.16 Pinnacle (by: surrealite)

Pieno Zvaigzdes vs. Siauliai

photo: D.Luksas Probably the most high pace team Pieno Zvaigzdes meets under-offensive-performing team Siauliai with freeway thinking philosophy of basketball coach Sireika. Pieno Zvaigzdes has one modern real center from 20 century - Zukanenko (8 min per game), even coach said he's important and will give positive impact on game, but he doesn't know yet where/when to use him. Ofc he doesn't as his team is playing hell of the run&gun basketball while scoring 90 pts every game vs. weak opponents. It happend in friendly games and so during the season. Siauliai despite they improvise a lot in offence met only one high pace opponent Lietkabelis, so their totals stayed under the limit so far. Pick: FT(OT incl.) Over 161.5 (O/U) @ 1.830 5/10 Bet365 (by: surrealite)

s.Oliver Wurzburg - Bamberg

photo: Fiba.com The official opening of the Germany Bundesliga will take place on tonight's evening completely full Wurzburg arena as all tickets are sold out. Wurzburg after 2016 season comes with changes. 3 key athletes Ulmer, Lane, Odum and head coach Spradley been replaced by sophisticated coach Dirk Bauermann (former Brose Baskets & German National team) in addition with main chiefs Clifford Hammonds and Robin Benzig they cut the deal with Lithuanian basketball school representatives hustler Lipkevicius and all-inclusive Olisevicius (whose shape curve is rising every year). Moreover solid back-court guy Abdul (ex VEF), Richardson (ex Spirou) and Anderson (ex Antwerp) joined team. It's a pity Wurzburg will miss Anderson as he’s still injured, but the overall of GM work during the off-season might push Wurzburg to the next level among Top 8-12 Bundesliga teams. Brose Baskets is most dominate Germany basketball club in past decade. But this season they kinda

Eurobasket2017 Group C: Hungary - Czech Republic

photo: Fiba.com Again pushing the big odds here. Czech's playing smart and on the basketball IQ level they are higher than Hungary, that's obstacle here. But... If we look deep into the squad Czech lost some uncontested front-runners Vesely and Shibb. There's still Satoransky but Hruban and Kritz ain't that guys to cover the loophole. What's more Hungarians didn't have a chance to see real star Hanga who's been the chief of the movement in 2016 qualification round (6W0L in group with Macedonia and Great Britain) averaging ~20ppg with lots of defensive presents. So far cuz of injuries in limited time he's been averaging only 6.5 ppg & 3.5 eff index. What if he finaly steps up to a gives his credits next to the Henchman Vojvoda? Another thing Hungary never had chance to play with full squad in friendly's. There was either Keller, Hanga (both 2 missed a lot from start) or Vojvoda missing that is 90% of the team. Well this one is basically for th
